Congratulations to Melinda Sheehan, MS, CCC-SLP, for being named a 2019 Kids’ Favorite Doc!
Melinda was a first-grade teacher for six years when she decided she wanted to hone her skill set and become more specialized. She has experience with communication disorders and diagnoses including: Autism, Fragile X, seizure disorders, apraxia of speech, Down Syndrome, phonological and fluency disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, auditory processing and articulation.
She has worked in a private office setting and school setting focusing on children ages birth to three years old with developmental delays and/or disabilities. Having the opportunity to provide early intervention services allows her access to a separate skill set. Melinda promotes skill generalization, communication and independence by having a strong proponent of functionally based activities within her therapy.
Congratulations again to Melinda!
