Michele McGlynn, MA, CCC-A, FAAA
Michele McGlynn received her Masters degree in Audiology from Ithaca College and her Bachelors degree in Teaching for the Speech and Hearing Handicapped from the State University of New York at Cortland College. She is licensed both as an Audiologist and as a Hearing Aid Dispenser.
Ms. McGlynn takes a particular interest in auditory processing disorders in children. She has worked extensively with school districts evaluating and recommending treatment for children with Auditory Processing Disorders (APD). In addition she evaluates and manages children and adults with hearing loss. She dispenses various levels of hearing aid technology and works with our staff speech-language pathologists to develop and improve auditory training goals for AP and hearing aid patients. Ms. McGylnn worked for Speech and Hearing Associates for over 20 years and her work setting has included hospitals, ENT offices and nursing homes. She takes enjoyment in providing educational workshops on hearing loss and auditory processing disorders to child study teams, special services organizations, senior groups and families. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors with her 3 boys, volunteering her time at a food pantry, and assisting the deaf-blind.
Ms. McGlynn is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is available to provide educational workshops on hearing loss and auditory processing disorders to senior groups, child study teams, and families. Michele joined Speech and Hearing Associates in 1996.
