Doreen Randone, MS, CCC-SLP
Doreen Randone received her Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees through completion of an accelerated five-year speech-language pathology program at La Salle University. Upon graduating, Doreen received an academic award as the outstanding student in her program and was inducted into the Alpha Epsilon Alumni Honor Society. Currently, Doreen is pursuing her clinical doctorate in speech-language pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Her doctoral research focuses on the use of mental imagery to improve reading comprehension in children with language disorders.
Doreen has worked with clients in multiple settings, including public school districts, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation hospitals. Doreen’s experience includes evaluating and treating children with articulation, phonological, fluency, social communication, and receptive/expressive language disorders. She has also evaluated and treated adults with dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, voice disorders, and cognitive-communication disorders. In addition to working at Speech and Hearing Associates, Doreen is a tenured faculty member in an award-winning public school district. She conducts evaluations and develops/implements speech and language services for students across numerous grade levels. Doreen has also conducted research and presented findings at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Convention, a national conference held annually.
Through her various experiences, Doreen understands the importance of individualizing therapy to clients’ needs to help them succeed academically, socially, or functionally. She uses evidence-based practice by integrating clients’ data, collaborating with families, and locating research to drive clinical decision-making.
Doreen is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of New Jersey. She holds a Speech-Language Specialist certificate from the New Jersey Department of Education. Additionally, Doreen holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Doreen is a member of the New Jersey Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NJSHA). Doreen has been named a Favorite Kids’ Doc by New Jersey Family Magazine.
