Parents, have you heard that the American Academy of Pediatrics has updated its regulations regarding the treatment of ear infections? Since there is a correlation between chronic ear infections and communication delays, the AAP treatment guidelines now state that if fluid persists in a child\u2019s ear for more than three months, speech\/ language and hearing should be tested by a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Audiologist.
