{"id":3576,"date":"2016-03-17T15:12:27","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T19:12:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/speechandhearingassoc.fm1.dev\/speech-and-hearing-associates-njshas-2016-distinguished-clinical-achievement-award-goes-to\/"},"modified":"2016-03-17T15:12:27","modified_gmt":"2016-03-17T19:12:27","slug":"speech-and-hearing-associates-njshas-2016-distinguished-clinical-achievement-award-goes-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/speechandhearingassoc.com\/speech-and-hearing-associates-njshas-2016-distinguished-clinical-achievement-award-goes-to\/","title":{"rendered":"Speech and Hearing Associates: NJSHA&#8217;s 2016 Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award Goes to&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The NJ Speech Language Hearing Association (NJSHA) just announced the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award. \u00a0We are most happy to announce that this year&#8217;s awardee is Judy Maskevich.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div>The award criteria are: \u00a0<i>This award recognizes a speech-language pathologist or audiologist who is a member in good standing of NJSHA with five or more years of professional experience whose primary responsibility is in direct service to individuals with speech, language and\/or hearing disorders.<\/i><\/div>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5362\" src=\"https:\/\/speechandhearingassoc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Judith-Maskevich.png\" alt=\"Distinguished Clinical Achievement Award\" width=\"218\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><i>This individual demonstrated distinguished service in some or all of the following areas: <\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>(a) provides exemplary service to patients and families, <\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>(b) is recognized as an expert by his or her peers, <\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>(c) shares expertise through teaching, mentoring, supervising, and\/or professional presentations, <\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>(d) develops innovative programs, <\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>(e) actively pursues continuing education, and is actively involved in the advancement of the profession.<\/i><\/div>\n<div><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/div>\n<div>Judy has been with Speech and Hearing Associates almost since its founding, 47 years ago! She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, schools, and our private offices. In addition to carrying her own caseload, for many years Judy was Speech and Hearing Associates&#8217; official Clinical Fellow supervisor. In this capacity she has supervised and mentored many SLPs in their first year.
