Melinda was a first-grade teacher for six years when she decided she wanted to hone her skill set and become more specialized. She has experience with communication disorders<\/a> and diagnoses including: Autism, Fragile X, seizure disorders, apraxia of speech, Down Syndrome, phonological and fluency disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, auditory processing and articulation.<\/p>\n

She has worked in a private office setting and school setting focusing on children ages birth to three years old with developmental delays and\/or disabilities. Having the opportunity to provide early intervention services allows her access to a separate skill set. Melinda promotes skill generalization, communication and independence by having a strong proponent of functionally based activities within her therapy.<\/p>\n
