Stephanie Karsos earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education and Liberal Studies with a minor in English from Seton Hall University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stephanie has experience working with children and adults of various abilities and needs in both academic and medical settings. Stephanie has evaluated and treated the domains of expressive and receptive language, articulation, phonology, pragmatics, fluency (stuttering and cluttering), apraxia, aphasia, and dysphagia. She has worked with students and patients diagnosed with various learning disabilities, communication disorders, emotional disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD\/ADHD, and rare diagnoses such as Turner\u2019s Syndrome. Stephanie believes that establishing a positive rapport based on trust, honesty, and empathy is the foundation for successful treatment. Working as a collaborative team with the client, their family, and other relevant specialists allows for comprehensive, holistic patient-centered care. She finds it crucial to utilize both the client\u2019s personal interests and strengths to build upon their areas of need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Stephanie is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of New Jersey. She also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from The American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Speech-Language Specialist certification from the New Jersey Department of Education. Stephanie holds additional certifications including New Jersey certifications as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities, Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-5, Language Arts\/Literacy Specialization in Grades 5 through 8, and an Early Childhood Teacher Certification for Preschool through Grade 3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
