Dr. Robert W. Woods received his Master\u2019s and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University. He was Professor of Audiology for nine years and Adjunct Professor for seven years in the Graduate School at Columbia University. He was an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Audiology at The College of New Jersey and is currently Adjunct Professor in the Doctoral Program in Audiology at Montclair State University. Licensed both as an Audiologist and as a Hearing Aid Dispenser, Dr. Woods has been founding director of Speech & Hearing Associates since 1969. He has lectured extensively in the United States and as an invited lecturer in Great Britain, Germany and the former Yugoslavia on topics ranging from Diagnostic Audiology to Hearing Aid Fitting and Dispensing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Woods has been awarded \u201cHonors of the Association\u201d from the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association. He was also recognized by the New Jersey Speech and Hearing Association for demonstrating \u201cthe highest professional standards of integrity and ethical principles in the execution of clinical services.\u201d He has been elected to serve several terms on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Speech Language and Hearing Association and has served as Chair of the Audiology Committee and Chair of the Ethics Committee. He currently serves on the Executive Council of the New Jersey Academy of Audiology. He has been elected from New Jersey to serve as Legislative Counselor to the American Speech and Hearing Association and has served on their Health Care Economics Committee.
