Sarah Santana, MA, CCC-SLP
Santana received her Master of Arts degree in Communicative Sciences & Disorders/ Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders and a minor in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island.
She has over 6 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for children with special needs and a wide range of disorders. She has experience treating individuals with ASD, DS, CP, ADHD, articulation/phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, as well as receptive and expressive language disorders. She has extensive knowledge regarding AAC use and ABA intervention. She is Level 1 PROMPT trained and PECS trained. Sarah also has experience working with adults seeking accent reduction/modification services and is Compton PESL certified.
Sarah continues to invest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology by providing professional development opportunities to fellow colleagues. She serves on the Bergen County Speech Language Hearing Alliance board and acts as a clinical educator for Bergen County Special Services by providing supervision to local university students pursuing a career in Speech-Language Pathology.
Through various experiences, Sarah recognizes the importance of providing individualized therapy to meet client needs. She is passionate about helping her clients achieve success academically, socially and/or professionally. She utilizes evidence-based practice by using research driven clinical decision-making.
Sarah is licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Jersey, New York and California. She also holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA and the Speech Language Specialist Certification from the New Jersey Department of Education.
