Nicole Shahinian, MA, CCC-SLP
Nicole Shahinian received her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the College of New Jersey and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College, graduating with highest honors.
Her professional experience is diverse. She has treated patients of all ages in hospital, nursing home, private office, and school settings. In addition, Nicole has provided home based early intervention services.
Nicole joined Speech & Hearing Associates in May 2000. She has worked with pediatric and adult populations with a variety of disorders including language, articulation, phonological, oral motor, apraxia, dysarthria, accent reduction, central auditory processing, fluency, and autism. In addition, Nicole has experience with post laryngectomy voice restoration and treatment of voice disorders of functional and organic etiologies. She also has experience with treating patients who use augmentative and alternative communication devices. Nicole has been an invited speaker to parent groups, teachers, and support groups covering topics such as speech and language development, treatment strategies, and dysphagia. She has conducted in-services for professional staff in the areas of dysphagia and speech language development.
Nicole holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association, State of New Jersey licensure in the field of Speech Language Pathology and the Speech Language Specialist certification from New Jersey Department of Education.
