Laura Mailand MS, CCC-SLP
Laura Mailand earned her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Molloy College. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from New York University.
Laura has experience working with both pediatric and adult populations in a variety of settings such as day habilitation facilities, schools, home health, and private clinics. She has worked with children on the autism spectrum and children with multiple disabilities. She has treated receptive-expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological disorders, literacy, childhood apraxia of speech, social skills, and feeding. She has also worked with nonverbal children and adults, utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to improve communication skills.
Laura holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the states of New Jersey and New York. She holds the Speech Language Specialist (SLS) certification from the New Jersey Department of Education as well as the Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certification (TSSLD) from the New York Department of Education.
