Jennifer Savitsky, MA, CCC-SLP
Jennifer Savitsky received her Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State University. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Rowan University.
Jennifer has worked with children and adults with expressive and receptive language disorders, apraxia of speech, acquired aphasia, dysarthria, vocal fold dysfunction and trauma, difficulty with phonemic awareness, articulation and phonological disorders, dysphagia, and cognitive (e.g., executive functioning, memory, attention) impairment due to neurogenic and developmental disorders. Jennifer has trained patients of all ages to use low tech and high tech communication programs to maximize their ability to communicate in their environment. She has worked with pediatric and adult populations in the following settings: schools serving children with special needs, acute care rehabilitation facilities, subacute care rehabilitation facilities, outpatient clinics, and of course, the wonderful offices of Speech and Hearing Associates. Jennifer believes that empowering parents and caregivers through education and training is crucial to help patients achieve their functional goals.
Jennifer is PROMPT (a multidimensional approach to speech production disorders for pediatric and adult populations) Level 1 trained and is a certified Vital Stimulation provider to adults with swallowing disorders. Jennifer holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA), holds New Jersey licensure in Speech-Language Pathology, and also holds a Speech Language Specialist (SLS) Certificate with the New Jersey Department of Education.
